Refunds & Payment Policy for Live/Virtual Courses
At the Gender Health Training Institute, we strive to offer high-quality, accessible professional training experiences. Because our workshops include limited-capacity live sessions, extensive preparation, and continuing education (CE) administration, the following refund policy applies to all registrations:
Standard Refund Policy
- Full Refund (minus the processing fee): Cancellations made up to 30 days of training are eligible for a full refund, unless the workshop begins within 30 days of purchase, in which case you have two days to cancel for a full refund.
- 50% Refund: Cancellations made within 30 days before the start of the workshop and more than 7 days before the workshop are eligible for a 50% refund.
- Transfer or Credit (No Refund): Cancellations made within 7 days before the workshop are not eligible for monetary refunds but may receive:
- automatic enrollment in the home study version of the training
- a one-time transfer into another upcoming session (if available). No additional fee is required.
Rescheduling or GHTI-Initiated Changes
GHTI reserves the right to reschedule a workshop or program due to unforeseen circumstances. In such a case, registrants will be offered:
- A seat in the rescheduled session or
- The option to transfer their registration to a comparable upcoming workshop.
Refund terms remain the same, but a short cancellation window of 7 days of being notified of the rescheduled date will be offered should the new date create a conflict.
Transfers / Substitutions
Registrants may request to transfer their registration to another available session (if offered) or substitute another attendee up to 24 hours before the workshop at no additional charge.
Non-Attendance
Failure to attend a workshop or program (“no-show”) does not qualify for a refund or credit.
Certification Program Refund Policy
All sales are final. Once a participant enrolls in the program—whether paying in full or selecting a payment plan— no refunds are offered under any circumstances.
This policy applies immediately upon purchase.
Payment Plan Agreements
If a participant elects to use a payment plan:
- The participant remains fully responsible for the entire tuition amount, regardless of attendance, withdrawal, or completion status.
- Payment plans are a courtesy offered to increase accessibility, not a month-to-month subscription. They represent a commitment to pay the full balance over an agreed-upon schedule.
- Failed, declined, or late payments must be resolved within a stated grace period (usually 3–5 business days). Continued non-payment may result in:
- removal from the program,
- pause of access to materials or sessions, and/or
- assessment of late fees or administrative holds (if you choose to include these).
Transfers / Deferrals
- Participants may request to transfer to a future cohort or defer their start date if space allows.
- Transfers and deferrals are at the discretion of GHTI and may include an administrative fee.
- Tuition payments already made will be applied to the new cohort; however, refunds are not provided.
No Refunds for Non-Participation
Non-attendance or incomplete participation does not release the participant from the payment plan obligation and does not qualify for a refund or credit.
Program Rescheduling or Cancellation by GHTI
- If GHTI reschedules individual sessions or adjusts program components (e.g., dates, presenters, delivery format), the program remains non-refundable.
- If GHTI cancels the program entirely after it has begun, participants will receive a pro-rated refund based on the portion of the program already completed.
- If the program is cancelled before it begins, participants may choose:
- A full refund, or
- A credit toward a future cohort or comparable training.
Refunds, Access & Payment Policy for Digital Courses
All Sales Are Final (No Refunds)
Because our digital courses are delivered immediately upon purchase (or shortly thereafter), all sales are final.
- We do not offer refunds, returns, or exchanges for pre-recorded digital courses once your purchase has been completed.
- By completing your purchase, you acknowledge and agree that you are not entitled to a refund under any circumstances, except where required by applicable law.
Course Access Period
Unless otherwise clearly stated on the specific course registration page:
- Your purchase includes access to the course materials for 365 days from the date of purchase.
- This 365-day access applies to all pre-recorded digital courses, unless a different access period is explicitly mentioned in the course description or checkout page.
- After the access period ends, your login may remain active for our site, but you will no longer be able to view that specific course content unless you repurchase or enroll under a renewed access offer (if available).
Discount Codes, Coupons & Promotions
- Coupons, discount codes, and promotional offers may not be combined.
- Only one coupon or discount can be applied per order.
- Discount codes are only valid for the time period, course(s), and conditions stated in the promotion.
- We are unable to apply a discount retroactively to past purchases.
Payment Processing & Installment Plans (If Applicable)
If you enroll using a payment plan or installment option:
- You are responsible for completing all scheduled payments, even if you choose not to access or complete the course.
- Failed or declined payments may result in temporary suspension of course access until payment issues are resolved.
Account Responsibility & Sharing
To protect your privacy and our intellectual property:
- Your login details are personal to you and may not be shared, sold, or transferred to another person.
- Unauthorized sharing, distribution, or reproduction of course materials (including videos, downloads, worksheets, and handouts) is strictly prohibited and may result in immediate termination of access without refund and may lead to further legal action where permitted by law.
Technical Issues
If you experience technical issues accessing the course:
- Please contact us at [email protected] within a reasonable time and we will make good-faith efforts to help you access your purchase.
- Technical issues on your device or internet connection (for example, outdated browser, low bandwidth, or local restrictions) do not qualify for a refund but we will do our best to support you with troubleshooting suggestions.
Course Updates, Changes & Availability
We reserve the right to:
- Update, improve, or modify course content to keep information current and clinically appropriate.
- Retire or discontinue a course in the future. If a course is discontinued during your 365-day access period, we will make reasonable efforts to provide equivalent alternative access or previously downloadable materials, when possible.
Legal Rights
Nothing in this policy is intended to limit any rights you may have under applicable consumer protection laws in your jurisdiction. Where such laws provide additional rights that conflict with this policy, those laws will govern.
